Autumn is one of my favorite seasons. I think that it signifies change; changing colors, landscape, temperatures and time. This year especially, it also signifies changing times.
I have learned (and continue to learn!) that with change comes opportunity; opportunity to see things in a different way, to take a different approach and to shed old baggage. I see change, and more accurately our willingness to embrace change, as a gift that we can give to ourselves. To view each change as an opportunity in-waiting, frees us from the immobility of resistance, the stagnation of old precepts and the limitation of "tunnel vision." Karen Garvey's newsletter this month has a great piece on change and the election (not political!) that I would like to share with all of you.

As we move toward the holiday season (yikes!) may our greatest gift be to choose to embrace the changes of life. Let us choose to focus on all that we have, to show our love and gratitude for all those who enrich our lives and encourage us to be our best, and to know that our future is bright and rich with opportunity.
